Maya Estates is a 28-lot subdivision developed in 1995. It consists of single-family homes of approximately 1,600 to over 3,000 square feet that typically offer 3 to 5 bedrooms, two or more bathrooms and 2- to 3-car garages, some tall enough for an RV.

The homes were custom built: every lot was developed by owners who chose their own designer and builder. Lots range from 11,300 square feet and larger and provide plenty of room for entertaining.

Architectural styles range from classic Pueblo Revival to hacienda ranch. The exteriors are mostly stucco, with homes constructed between 1996 and 1999. Interiors vary from rustic, with exposed beams and smoothly finished walls, to contemporary designs with laminate, white quartz or granite countertops and custom fixtures and finishes.
